Para los que aún no saben. En infinito inteligencia el ministerio de economía otorgo, sin licitación publica alguna, muchos beneficios especiales a Microsoft para que esta empresa ejecuta proyectos de varios tipos en Chile.

Maybe more interesting is the fact that there seem to be mayor problems with the bee colonies lately. And since bees polonize many of the staple food crops of the world. Well, that could mean a heap of trouble. In the wikipedia article it's noted that there is a lack of investigation into the effects that GM crops have on the bee population. Maybe a good idea to do some more research.

Leaving the Job

Almost precisely a month ago I decided I'd had had enough.

On that day, a month ago, they broke me. I couldn't take it anymore. At last, I realized that my current job was bad for me, both mentally and physically.

I guess that upper management never considered that they might loose their entire IT team to a badly conceived project.

The new protocultura photo

The "lonely-bird" is dead. I changed it for a picture I took from the top of the "Pochoco" mountain (+1800M) here in central Chile.

The mountain isn't all that high or difficult to climb, but once you are on top, it's an amazing view at the rest of the Andes Mountain range. There you realize how big it really is.

Got a working PC again.

After 2 months of suffering serious withdrawal symptoms, i can feed my need once again. I got my main PC working again. The old board had fried, reducing it to a really acomplished 'beep', 'beep', 'beep' generator.

Inzichten en Uitzichten over integratie

Na nu meer dan 5 jaar in Zuid-America te wonen, ben ik vrij ver geïntegreerd hier. Misschien daardoor zie ik het immigratie debat dat in Europa gaande is met iets andere ogen.

Je wordt aangekeken op dat waarin je verschild van je omgeving, niet in de manier waarop je gelijk bent. Waar je anders in bent, dat wordt door de omgeving benadrukt. Maar dat betekend ook dat je je steeds meer gaat identificeren met het anders zijn. Ik ben me nu veel meer bewust van mijn "Nederlands" zijn dan toen ik in Nederland wonde.
