Today, august 13, is the International day of the left-handed.

From personal experience I can say that being left handed does make a difference in one's world perception. When you are left handed, everything is just a bit odd. Most of the time it's subliminal feeling, sometimes though it comes as an awareness.


When you are left handed your are always a bit odd... In now way inferiour but always somehow the odd one in a group. When being lefthanded, the world is not perfect, a handle of a drill is the wrong way round. The scissiors just don't quite fit. Writing without smearing the ink can be a challenge. All of this gives the feeling that the world is not perfect. It has flaws and preduice to which the mayority of people is oblivious.

Maybe this may give you more stimulus to be an independent thinker. To challenge convensional beleaves and ideas. Maybe that's why so many left-handers are creative minds with new and often radical new ideas.
