Okay, so working late (as always) I ended up talking with DCH about how to get some zazzle into the endless line of inhouse webapps that have been created over the years.

We've been looking at a number of options. I think that now we might have a winner in the forme of backbase a very nice abstraction layer.

Also looking around at how to get some XML stuff from our database backends i found that both PostgreSQL and SQLserver can just format their data output as XML. Simple really.
